About the Training
Eva custom-designed and developed this training for United Nations System Staff College. The purpose of the training was to strengthen capacities and knowledge of UNSOS section chiefs and managers to advance gender responsiveness in a DOS mission, strengthen managerial leadership and accountability on the implementation of gender mainstreaming/parity, and provide UNSOS section chiefs annd managers with the requisite skills and knowledge to implement gender equality and WPS mandates within their respective sections and units to achieve the mandate of UNSOS.

The training took place in person from 29 to 31 May 2022 in Mogadishu, Somalia.
EVA DALAK is a coach, facilitator and trainer. During her 20+ years long career, she has been providing gender expertise to the United Nations, the European Union, and various international nongovernmental organizations.
During her tenure at UN DPO, Eva delivered trainings for all senior gender advisors in peacekeeping missions around the world and as Head of Office for the Gender Unit at the UN Peacekeeping Operation in Cote d’Ivoire, Eva implemented policies and mandates on the promotion of gender equality in all activities of the peacekeeping mission.
Eva is passionate about conflict transformation and promoting gender equality and individual leadership fostering inter-faith dialogue, and empowering communities to build peace from within. Eva was born and raised in Israel-Palestine and currently resides in Costa Rica with her family. She is fluent in French, English, and Hebrew and has conversational proficiency in Spanish and Arabic.
